Conflict: murder for hire
Character A wants to hire Character B to murder Character C
“Is it true you killed your mother?”
“My mother fell off the balcony. It was a terrible accident.”
“I heard you helped her fall.”
“People say all sorts of things.”
“…”
“Why are you bringing this up?”
“I need someone to have an accident.”
“Oh, really. Who is that?”
“Fitz. Professor Fitzgerald. I’m sure you know about him.”
“People say all sorts of things.”
“In his case, they’re all true. I’m his target this year. He’s been keeping me after class, calling me into his office. He started touching me last month. A tap on my shoulder, a pat on my back. Then he stroked my cheek. Yesterday, he leaned over me and looked down my blouse. I’m not waiting for more.”
“Who would?”
“I mean, every boarding school has its lecher. But I’m nobody’s victim. I have an appointment with him on Tuesday.”
“You don’t have to go.”
“Oh, I’m going. I’ll just be late.”
“Why would you do that?”
“So he’ll have an accident before I get there. I already got five grand from my parents.”
